Halloween is a
time for fun traditions like pumpkin carving, haunted houses, hay rides and
trick-or-treating. But did you know you can experience these festive

month celebrating with a variety of events making them the perfect
destination for your next fall family
outing!

• Gettysburg
  Campground in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
• This
  park has three consecutive Halloween-themed weekends the last three weekends
  of October. Activities include crafts, a pumpkin carving contest, campsite
  decorating and costume contests for adults and children, trick or treating,
  haunted hayrides, a Halloween dance and a haunted
  house.
• Scenic
  Ridge Campground in Whitewater, Wisconsin
• This
  park has a 15-minute haunted trail that includes a cemetery and a black maze.
  Halloween themed weekends are scheduled the middle three weekends of October
  and also include a chili potluck, a costume contest, trick-or-treating and a
  pumpkin hunt.
• Land-O-Pines
  Family Campground, Covington, Louisiana
• This
  park offers a wide range of activities and entertainment for Halloween with
  four consecutive Halloween themed weekends, including a “Kiddie Halloween
  Bash” for kids 12 and under Oct. 9-11 with nighttime candy hunt, trick or
  treating, a costume contest, a coloring contest, music, a hayride and kids
  only bingo. Other weekends include a Zombie weekend with a “Find the Hidden
  Body Parts” contest, a Zombie Obstacle Course, a Zombie Costume Contest, and
  a Zombies versus Humans Game, haunted house contests, where campers design
  themselves at their campsites, and a Great Pumpkin Race.
• Yogi
  Bear’s Jellystone Park in Hagerstown,
  Maryland
• This campground has six consecutive
  Halloween themed weekends through November 1 with themes including ghosts
  & goblins, werewolves, vampires, witches and zombies. Make sure you
  bring candy to share with all of the trick-or-treaters. Dress up, walk in the
  costume parade and compete for prizes. On All Hallows Eve, beware of the
  frights lurking on our spooktacular Haunted Trail.
• The
  Kansas City Jellystone Park in Lawrence,
  Kansas
• This park has a haunted barn and corn
  maze that’s open throughout October for some spooky fun. They invite everyone
  to come out dressed in their costume and decorate some
  pumpkins.
• Yogi
  Bear’s Jellystone Park at River Bottom Farms in Swansea, South
  Carolina
• This park, which has six consecutive
  Halloween-themed weekends, features a haunted house, which is set up inside
  an old 400-foot long barn with 20 to 25 actors and animatronics. Three of the
  Halloween-themed weekends are “no scare” weekends designed for families with
  younger children.
